Fort Portal Named The Healthiest City In Africa

Uganda’s number one tourism city, Fort Portal, has been ranked as number 1 out of the best 10 Healthiest cities in Africa, in an article published by Africa.com. The authors of the article quoting research conducted by Makerere Medical School, say 96 percent of Fort Portal’s young adults are healthy. That the percentage prevalence of being obese and overweight in KABAROLE | FORT PORTAL is around 1.4% and 3.2%.

Fort Portal is one of the world’s greenest cities, it’s a destination to one of the Africa’s magnificent mountains: Rwenzori Mountains, and It’s home to the world’s first dripping “breast milk” – Amabeere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves. This Uganda’s remarkable district also has 52 crater lakes, making it the district/local administration unit with the most number of crater lakes per square kilometre in the world! In addition, it is ranked as the district with the highest bio-diversity in Africa!

I have been here for a few days this week and i’m pleasantly astonished by the beauty of this place the same way i’m always charmed by its splendour each time i visit this special place.
